North Shore Sunrise Elopement

Sunrise elopements, you have my heart. Sunrise elopements in Hawaii? Next question. I had the pleasure of photographing Sky & Merrick’s stunning sunrise Hawaii elopement in Oahu’s North Shore this spring, and it was one for the books.

We began our day before the sun even thought about peeking over the horizon. The air was cool and crisp, the sky a canvas of deep blues and purples. We drove along the scenic North Shore, the anticipation building with every mile. Finally, we reached our destination – a simple, yet jaw-droppingly stunning road near the iconic Dillingham Ranch.

As the first rays of sunlight began to paint the sky, the world around us transformed. The lush green hillsides shimmered with dew, casting long shadows across the landscape. The ocean, a vibrant turquoise, sparkled under the growing light. And then, the sun emerged, painting everything in a warm, golden glow. It was truly magical.

Sky and Merrick, radiant with love and excitement, celebrated their next chapter amid the most beautiful, green screen-esque backdrop.

We spent the morning capturing their love story amidst the beauty of the North Shore. We reveled in the sheer joy of this special day. The vibrant colors of the sunrise, the distant sound of crashing waves, the lush greenery – it all served as a perfect backdrop for their love story.

This sunrise elopement was a reminder of the beauty of simplicity and the power of love. It was a testament to the fact that sometimes, the most unforgettable moments are the ones that are unplanned and intimate.
