A Rooftop Romance in Pilsen
Alexis and Matt exchanged vows amidst a breathtaking backdrop – the Chicago skyline shimmering against the horizon. Their rooftop ceremony at the Lacuna Lofts in Pilsen was an intimate affair, surrounded by the warmth of close friends and family. These photos offer a fleeting glimpse into the joy and love that filled the air as these two incredible souls, bound by a shared passion for water polo and an even deeper love for each other, celebrated their union.
The day unfolded like a perfect summer dream. The sparse crowds at the Wrigley Building and the distant melodies of the Blues Festival created an unexpected tranquility. We had the enchanting Lurie Gardens almost entirely to ourselves, a private oasis amidst the bustling city. It was a day of pure magic, where every detail – from the vibrant blooms to the stunning venue itself, and of course, the ever-inspiring backdrop of Chicago – contributed to a truly unforgettable experience.
Their reception, inside Lacuna Lofts’ indoor loft reception space, was filled with heartfelt speeches, shared laughter, special dances, and an energetic dance floor.
I was also so excited and fortunate to be able to work with Bonnie of Bonnie Bee Flowers again. She is truly a master at her craft; she is so unbelievably talented, and I always feel so lucky to be able to photograph her handiwork.
